TRIB GIVES - OPERATION SANTA CLAUS

Operation Santa Claus is an all-volunteer non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a complete holiday meal for less fortunate families throughout Western Pennsylvania. Operation Santa Claus works in conjunction with Shop N Save/Supervalu and the Salvation Army.

Each year, Operation Santa Claus volunteers raise money to purchase groceries from Shop N Save/Supervalu. Those groceries are then packed into bags for distribution by Salvation Army units across Western Pennsylvania. The grocery bags include: canned fruits and vegetables, stuffing mix, scalloped potatoes, cornbread, crackers, a special sweet treat and a Shop N Save gift voucher for a turkey, ham or other meat - all the fixin's for a nutritious and delicious holiday meal! The families also receive a coloring book, crayons and new or gently-used children's books. A donation of just $16 will help us feed a family of four this holiday season.
